How it works

The 3 x 3 grid flashes a pattern. When it stops, click the squares in the same order. If you are right, the pattern replays with one extra square added at the end. Your score is the last level you completed. Your best score is saved in this browser only.

FAQ

What is a good score on the sequence memory test?

Most people stall between level 6 and level 9. Reaching level 10 or higher is a strong result, and 14 or more is exceptional.

Does the sequence get longer each time?

Yes. Level 1 lights up one square. Each level repeats the previous pattern and adds one new random square at the end. One wrong click ends the run.

How can I remember longer sequences?

Group the squares into chunks of three or four, or trace the path as a shape in your mind instead of memorizing each square separately.
