How the date works
In the US, UK and Canada, Father’s Day is the third Sunday of June, so it falls between June 15 and June 21.
Australia and New Zealand celebrate on the first Sunday of September, which is the start of spring there.
Some countries use other dates: Germany celebrates on Ascension Day (a Thursday, 39 days after Easter), and many Catholic countries use March 19, St Joseph’s Day.
If you are posting a card or gift abroad, check which date the recipient’s country uses.
