One item per line as score, weight (weight in % or points). Example: homework 92 worth 20%.
Each score is multiplied by its weight, the results are added up and divided by the total weight: grade = Σ(score × weight) / Σweight. The default lines are homework 92 at 20%, a midterm 85 at 30%, a quiz 78 at 15% and a final exam 88 at 35%, giving 86.4%. If your weights add up to less than 100, the grade shown is your average so far, and the total weight tells you how much of the course is counted. Letter grades use the common 90/80/70/60 scale.

Yes. Weights only need to be relative to each other, so 200 points and 100 points work the same as 67% and 33%.
