A rectangle's area is length × width. A triangle's area is ½ × base × height. A circle's area is π × radius². The calculator converts your measurements to square feet first (1 m = 3.28084 ft), then to the other units: 1 square yard = 9 square feet, and 1 acre = 43,560 square feet.
Measure the length and width in feet and multiply them. A 12 ft × 10 ft room is 120 square feet. For an L-shaped room, split it into rectangles, calculate each one and add them up.
One square meter is 10.7639 square feet.
