Your names are shuffled with a Fisher-Yates shuffle that uses crypto.getRandomValues, so every ordering is equally likely. The shuffled list is then dealt out round by round, like cards, which keeps team sizes within one player of each other. If the names do not divide evenly, which teams get the extra player is random as well. Duplicate lines are kept (two people may share a name), blank lines are ignored.

This tool is a pure random draw and does not support constraints. If you need to keep people together, give them one combined entry such as "Sam & Alex" and note that it counts as one slot.
