Pick a birth date to find your half birthday: the day exactly six months after your birthday.
Add six months to your birth date. If the day does not exist in that month (for example August 31 plus six months would be February 31) the calculator uses the last day of the month, so August 31 gives February 28, or February 29 in a leap year. The half age is your age at that date plus one half: someone turning 30 and a half has had thirty full years and six months. People who were born on February 29 can use August 29.
| Birthday month | Half birthday month |
|---|---|
| January | July |
| February | August |
| March | September |
| April | October |
| May | November |
| June | December |

The date exactly six months after your birthday. Many families celebrate half birthdays for children born near holidays, and some people use them for fun or for school events when the real birthday falls in summer break.
December 15.
Months with fewer days do not have a 31st, so the last day of that month is used, for example August 31 becomes February 28 (or 29 in a leap year).
A person who is 7 and a half has completed 7 years and 6 months. Their half birthday is the day they reach that age.
